Saubermacher launched a recycling pilot project called \u201edigi-Cycle\u201c in cooperation with ARA in Gnas, Austria. From August to September 2021, every sixth household took part in the field study, providing valuable insights into the technically innovative concept of the voluntary collection bonus for end consumers willing to recycle. For Securikett as a partner, the project came at just the right time to put key R&D priorities to the test.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

First and foremost came Securikett's own IoT platform Codikett<\/strong> a product that has been tried and tested in the global market for years. Modular system for product identification<\/strong>. Codikett generates a virtually unlimited number of secure unique identifiers in a matter of seconds. And the query of the coding system based on cryptographic procedures is just as fast. Dr Marietta Ulrich-Horn<\/strong>, CEO of Securikett, emphasises the importance of the IoT solution:<\/p>

Especially Securiketts<\/a> latest product from the Codikett family, the UID Issuing Platform<\/strong>, found confirmation. The platform enables independent participants in the manufacturing chain to download and deploy large quantities of security codes quickly and traceably. The idea comes from the Requirements of the European regulation on the traceability of tobacco products<\/strong>.<\/p>

Securikett's R&D department was also fully involved in the physics of the bottle bonus. For the first time Tamper-proof QR code labels<\/strong> developed, whose Innovative adhesive favourable for the recycling process<\/strong> is. The challenge was that the label was applied to different packaging materials - glass, aluminium and PET beverage containers. All in all, all participants in the project were able to gain valuable insights, the project partners agree.<\/p>

\u201eThe sorting of plastic fractions is not disrupted by the deliberate technical planning of the label and its size. In addition to this challenge, what we really like about the \u201edigi-Cycle\u201c project is that it raises awareness. Waste is assigned value and thus becomes a recyclable material<\/strong>. The system gets an extra plus from us thanks to the Easy integration into the existing infrastructure<\/strong>.\"<\/p>

The \u201edigi-Cycle\u201c pilot project is a digital Incentive system for the separate collection of beverage packaging in the yellow bin and in the yellow bag or blue bin in Austria<\/strong>. Rewards are intended to increase waste separation and recycling. Convenience and transparency were emphasised in the project. To this end, a User-friendly app<\/strong> The system was designed in such a way that only the code on the bottle or beverage can and the respective collection container had to be scanned.<\/p>
