However, the company is not doing away with plastic altogether.<\/p>\n<p>According to the company, plastic packaging is to be phased out in the logistics centres in Germany. For shipping, the aim is then to <strong>on flexible paper envelopes<\/strong> switch. Larger items or consignments will continue to be sent in corrugated cardboard boxes.<\/p>\n<p>However, the mail order company is not completely abandoning single-use plastics. If retailers deliver their products to the German logistics centres already packaged in plastic, they will not be repackaged here but sent on in their original packaging. The aim is to reduce the need for secondary and tertiary packaging material.<\/p>\n<p>The company also wants to better adapt the size of its packaging to the respective product in order to reduce material consumption here too.
