The film manufacturer S\u00fcdpack has successfully completed the initial audit for the ISCC PLUS certification (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification). All German sites were certified in October and November 2021. Certification of the other sites is to follow successively.<\/strong><\/p>

ISCC EU is one of the leading standards in the field of sustainable biofuels. With ISCC PLUS, the globally recognised management system for mass balance certification has now been extended to other key areas of the circular economy. The aim is to Traceability of raw materials along the entire value chain<\/strong> also in the food, feed and chemicals sectors. ISCC PLUS is significantly more demanding than ISO certification, as all production sites must be certified separately.<\/p>

By the end of November 2021 All German locations successfully certified<\/strong>The certification process starts with S\u00fcdpack Verpackungen with its sites in Ochsenhausen and Erolzheim and extends to Ecoform Multifol in Erlenmoos and Schwendi. The certification enables the communication of transparent and verified information to stakeholders<\/strong> - and proves that the ISCC sustainability requirements are met and that traceability is guaranteed along the entire supply chain.<\/p>

\u201eAlthough the ISCC PLUS certification involves considerable effort and costs, it is an important step in terms of conserving resources and protecting the environment and therefore sustainability<\/strong> overall,\u201c explains Erik Bouts, CEO of S\u00fcdpack. As a manufacturer of products that to date have been largely based on fossil raw materials, S\u00fcdpack feels a particular obligation to support this development and to drive it forward intensively.<\/p>
