Huhtamaki has the full ownership of its Polish joint venture company Huhtamaki Smith Anderson sp. z o.o. from Smith Anderson Group Ltd. (SA)<\/strong> acquired. At the Huhtamaki plant in Czeladz, Poland, the company produces and distributes paper sacks for the catering industry in Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n

Paper sacks are becoming an increasingly important part of the product range<\/strong> from Huhtamaki<\/a> and the acquisition enables the company to invest in and further expand its business in Eastern Europe. The purchase price for the additional shares and the associated production facilities is around 2 million euros. Since the start of operations in 2018, the business has been recognised as a Part of the Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania business segment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
