OCSiAl has introduced a new range of graphene nanotube dispersions for thin transparent or coloured conductive films and packaging. <\/strong>
The new products fulfil customer requirements for formulations with a low solids content and high-quality fine dispersions of the nanomaterial.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Applications include ultra-thin coatings such as UV coatings and coatings on PET as well as antistatic binders where processing does not change and rheological properties are maintained. The expansion of the dispersion product line based on graphene nanotubes was specially developed to open up new markets for the use of nanotubes<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Demand in the packaging and film industry<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201eWe have found that the packaging and film industry prefers to use dispersions with a graphene nanotube content of 0.2-0.4 per cent. The newly developed products have an extremely fine quality of nanotube dispersion and are easier to handle in specific applications, especially with low solids content. They enable manufacturers to, Thin, long-term stable coatings with minimal impact on the colour or transparency of the end products<\/strong> to produce.\u201c<\/p>

The extended product line includes water-based nanotube dispersions that are stabilised by anionic surfactants. A BA dispersion is currently under development. The Dispersions are used in ultra-thin coatings<\/strong>, where maintaining processing and rheological properties is critical. Other uses include applications where polymer-based systems are used, including acrylic, nitrile, PU, etc. Such Areas of application are antistatic UV coatings and coatings on PET, binders and primers<\/strong>.<\/p>

The company plans to increase production of these new dispersions in order to optimise logistics costs and ensure a stable local supply chain. The Production of the new graphene nanotube dispersions will be established in the regions with the highest market demand, including Asia, Europe and the USA<\/strong>. For various polymer applications, the company has a wide range of graphene nanotube concentrates based on different carriers with a high nanotube content of up to 25 per cent of the total weight.<\/p>
