The Swedish plastics producer Trioworld has updated its sustainability targets. Accordingly, the company aims to achieve a post-consumer recycled content of 30 per cent in its products by 2025. Previously, this proportion was to be achieved from a mixture of PCR and industrial recyclates (PIR).<\/strong><\/p>

By increasing the proportion of PCR in its products, Trioworld is increasing its overall sustainability targets. Previously, the target of 30 per cent included both PCR and PIR, but the target will now be achieved exclusively with PCR by 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>

\u201eWe will of course continue to use PIR in our products, as this is an excellent way to reuse industrial waste<\/strong>. But only when we recycle plastics that have already fulfilled their original purpose do we really contribute to the circular economy,\u201c says Oskar Karlsson.<\/p>

For the certification of PCR-containing products, Trioworld on the basis of the report by the independent expert IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute<\/strong> for the certification system RecyClass recycled plastics traceability<\/a> which separately certifies the use of recycled materials and PCR in individual products.<\/p>
