The intralogistics solution automatically stores the items with the help of 85 shuttles, buffers and sequences them and transports them to the initially eight picking stations.<\/p><p>An increase in the number of shuttles to 105 units has already been planned. Dematic is also installing 440 metres of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dematic.com\/en\/products\/products-overview\/conveyor-systems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Modular Conveyor Systems<\/a> (MCS), which links the individual logistics areas within the multi-storey building. Automatic carton erectors also supply the picking stations based on fill level via connected conveyor lines. One <strong>Intelligent packing pattern software calculates the most efficient packing pattern for each individual order<\/strong> and ensures the economical utilisation of means of transport. By switching to the automated transport system, B\u00fcnting is not only improving its material flow, but also increasing its throughput rate. The centrepiece is the Dematic Multishuttle with 75,000 bin storage locations, which handles the automatic buffering, storage and sequencing of bins and trays. Thanks to the<strong> telescopic load handling attachment with eight-finger design<\/strong> the solution offers a high degree of flexibility with regard to the stored goods and can store different transport units efficiently without fixed storage locations. In addition, an increase in the current number of shuttles from 85 to 105 units is planned. To this end, the system is flexibly scalable and can be <strong>according to future requirements in terms of performance and layout design<\/strong> be adapted.<\/p><p>To ensure safe handling of the goods to be conveyed across the individual logistics areas within the multi-storey building, Dematic has developed its Modular Conveyor System. <strong>In-house conveyor technology<\/strong> installed. The cross-floor transport of piece goods is realised via a vertical conveyor in a space-saving design.<\/p><p>Warehouse management and material flow control are mapped with a Dematic software solution.
