The Jokey Group is cooperating in Poland with Henkel Adhesives Technologies and Akpol, a Polish specialist in plastics recycling. The aim is to promote the circular economy in the plastics industry and the construction sector.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The three companies have been in a joint venture since last year. Pilot project with recyclable packaging<\/strong> active. They are exploring the possibilities of closed loops, in which raw materials are kept in strictly closed cycles.<\/p>

To ensure this, Henkel as the brand owner, Jokey as a specialist in sustainable packaging solutions and Akpol as an expert in plastics recycling are working closely together: Henkel fills construction products for the Polish market in recyclate buckets from Jokey<\/a> to which Akpol supplies the raw materials recovered through recycling. These come from a customised collection system<\/strong>, in which used Jokey buckets are collected from construction sites and delivered to Akpol for recycling. The company recovers high-quality post-consumer recyclate through mechanical recycling and delivers this back to Jokey for the production of new recycled buckets. \u00a0<\/p>

After the test phase, the project will be analysed and expanded if the closed loop is successful.<\/p>

\u201eThis project is significant for us in several ways, as we launched the first buckets made from post-consumer recyclates back in 1991 - for our customer Henkel. At the time, these were regarded as \u2018dull eco-buckets\u2019. Today, however, they are seen as a clear statement in favour of the circular economy. \u201eWe recycle the used buckets we receive and produce pure post-consumer recyclates from polypropylene<\/strong> for the production of new recyclate buckets. This means that all three of us can contribute to closing the loop,\u201c explains Rafal Topolski<\/strong>, sales manager for regranulates at Akpol.<\/p>

Jokey has long been committed to the further development of the circular economy - in Germany, Europe and worldwide. The Jokey Eco Concept<\/a> contains the complete sustainability programme and offers clear orientation<\/strong>, to further adapt Jokey products to the requirements of a circular economy, reduce the carbon footprint and achieve the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement.<\/p>

This also includes working with selected partners in various pilot projects to constantly explore new ways of completely closing plastic loops. In addition to established collection systems, customised disposal concepts also play a role. Because The more homogeneous the sorted materials from the collection systems are, the more selectively they can subsequently be fed into the recycling loop.<\/strong> become<\/strong>.<\/p>
