With the AGV X1, Safelog has developed an automated guided vehicle (AGV) that can be integrated cost-effectively into any warehouse or production environment. It communicates in a swarm and thus helps to reduce downtimes in the event of a malfunction. The mobile robot will be presented for the first time at LogiMAT 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

With the AGV X1, Safelog is presenting for the first time its new goods-to-person platform for fulfilment centres and production lines.<\/strong> Thanks to agent-based control, the automated guided vehicle (AGV) does not require a central control centre and can be integrated cost-effectively into any warehouse or production environment in just a few weeks and scaled as required. As the AGV X1s communicate in a swarm, downtimes are reduced to a minimum in the event of a malfunction. The technical availability of the system reaches a value of over 99 per cent<\/strong>.<\/p>

Thanks to its modular design, the mobile robot can be customised quickly and easily. Thanks to its low design, the AGV X1 drive under a variety of different load carriers such as shelves and pallets and transport them to the pick stations.<\/strong> The transport robot has four electric lifting columns with a top load of 1000 kg as well as a powerful differential drive for travelling at up to 1.6 m\/s and space-saving turning on the spot. Thanks to the maintenance-free inductive battery charging system, the vehicles are charged during the process and are available 24\/7. Charging breaks and redundancies are a thing of the past.<\/p>

Conventional AGV solutions require a cost-intensive control centre as a control system. This is why automation with just a few vehicles is usually not feasible, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The AGV X1 closes this gap.<\/strong><\/p>

The mobile robot has an agent-based control system. This eliminates the need for an expensive and high-maintenance control centre. The agent-based control system of the AGV X1 enables the efficient Operation of a few robots up to several hundred vehicles<\/strong>. With the help of the software, the individual systems communicate with each other in a swarm and intelligently coordinate route and task allocations.<\/p>

Decentralised control not only increases efficiency, but also process reliability.<\/strong> In the event of a malfunction, only the affected vehicle comes to a standstill while the swarm continues to perform its tasks. This prevents cost-intensive downtime for entire fleets. In addition, the AGVs from Safelog<\/a> can be easily integrated into existing warehouse infrastructure via plug-and-play, which simplifies the commissioning of the devices. A go-live is possible in two to three weeks. Additional robots can be integrated into the swarm at any time at short notice<\/strong>. An ROI is regularly achieved in less than two years.<\/p>
