A rarity in German supermarkets until now: Mineral water in a Tetra Pak. A newcomer to this segment is the drinks manufacturer Rhenser Mineralbrunnen, which fills its water into drinks cartons using an end-to-end system. The Rhineland-Palatinate Minister of the Interior, Roger Lewentz, was also present at the commissioning of the new plant.<\/strong><\/p>

\u201eIn addition to health, quality and attractive brand concepts, future-oriented containers are also playing an increasingly important role in consumers' changing consumer behaviour. That is why we have invested several million in Rhens to open up new markets with the Tetra Top packaging.<\/strong> These include drugstores, convenience stores, the organic sector, export and B2B. The new packaging is also an important step towards climate protection for us,\u201c says Christian Berentzen, one of the two managing directors of Rhenser Mineralbrunnen GmbH.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From process technology to palletising<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Tetra Top packaging consists of made from 88 per cent renewable raw materials and can be fully recycled<\/strong>. Paper fibres are used for the body of the packaging. The closures, the top area and the outer coating are made from the renewable raw material sugar cane. The packaging is FSC and Bonsucro certified.<\/strong><\/p>

In Rhens Tetra Pak<\/a> not only provided the system, but also a complete end-to-end concept<\/strong>, from process technology to palletising systems, from service and training to support in sustainability issues.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201eThe Tetra-Top filling system produces 9,000 packages per hour<\/strong>, that is quite a number for cardboard packaging. We are incredibly proud to be the first mineral water bottler to introduce Tetra Top<\/strong> and were very enthusiastic about the technology right from the start, as well as the professionalism of the collaboration. To now have this in Rhens is a dream come true,\u201c says Markus Wolf, Plant Manager at Rhenser Mineralbrunnen.<\/p>

The Minister of the Interior of Rhineland-Palatinate, Roger Lewentz, and the Lord Mayor of the City of Koblenz, David Langner, recognised the successful cooperation between the two companies at the ceremony in Rhens and emphasised the great importance of the investment not only for Rhenser, but also for the region<\/strong> - especially in the current Corona period.<\/p>
