They have now presented their research results at the final event.<\/strong><\/p><p>Around six months ago <a title=\"Our articles on the subject of Schubert\" href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/tag\/gerhard-schubert\/\">Schubert<\/a> in a co-operation project of the <a title=\"Our contributions on the topic of KIT\" href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/tag\/kit\/\">KIT<\/a> and the IPEK. <strong>For one semester, 42 university students conducted research for the packaging machine manufacturer from Crailsheim.<\/strong> The final event took place a few days ago. \u201eThe students presented their research results to us in short presentations and at a trade fair - and I can say: they inspired us with their ideas,\u201c says Manuel Schuster, Head of New Assembly Development and also KIT Project Manager at Schubert.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8acc062 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8acc062\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Students were supervised by mentors<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cff3ee1 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cff3ee1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u201eOur expectations of the project were fully met. Schuster supervised the project together with his colleague Achraf Ben Salem, Head of Cobot Development at Schubert. <strong>Before the research could begin, the students were given an insight into the world of packaging and Schubert technologies at a two-day kick-off event.<\/strong> They were completely free to realise their ideas. Schuster: \u201eNevertheless, the students were never left alone by us during the entire process.\u201c<\/p><p>In the area of processes, the students developed ideas on how to automate mechanical processes in the machine and improve efficiency. <strong>The Crailsheim-based company was also impressed by the solution of positioning packaging machines as production islands rather than in a line.<\/strong> \u201eWe also found a new type of packaging that the students developed as part of the collaboration very interesting,\u201c says Schuster. \u201eThis packaging can be sealed without glue, <strong>therefore offers great opportunities in terms of sustainability and has of course been registered for a patent - as have several other ideas<\/strong>.\"<\/p><div id=\"packa-4291431427\"
