The German Sustainability Award will be presented for the 15th time in December. The special prize for packaging will also be awarded for the fourth time. Potential candidates can apply until the beginning of May.<\/strong><\/p>

Product and packaging manufacturers, research institutions, start-ups, students and packaging designers who serve the German market with sustainable packaging solutions can apply. Key challenges here include avoiding waste and reducing plastic, while packaging should remain affordable for the general public and guarantee transport safety and hygiene standards. <\/strong>Applications can be submitted online.<\/a><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The winner will be chosen by the expert jury of the German Sustainability Award and announced on 2 December 2022. announced and honoured at the award ceremony in D\u00fcsseldorf<\/strong>. Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz is expected to be the guest of honour.<\/p>

B\u00fcttenpapierfabrik Gmund GmbH und Co KG was able to impress in the previous year.<\/strong> The family-owned company is a manufacturer of packaging paper made from 100 per cent European hemp fibres. The numerous ecological advantages include the resilience of the plant and therefore the absence of pesticides, the above-average growth rate and the special nature of the hemp fibre, which makes it more frequently recyclable.<\/p>
