Initially only in the UK, all of the brand's ice cream flavours will no longer be sold in plastic packaging. The switch means that the company uses 93 per cent less plastic per pack.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0f8c196 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0f8c196\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Every year <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=unilever&amp;cat=-1&amp;date-all=all&amp;begin=&amp;end=\">Unilever<\/a> with the new packaging more than <strong>Saving 900 tonnes of virgin plastic in the UK<\/strong>. The paper used comes from sustainably managed forests and controlled sources and is PEFC-certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). Flavour and quality should also not be compromised and the packaging had to remain stable and durable. This includes the brand's long-standing commitment to sourcing Rainforest Alliance-certified vanilla and cocoa.<\/p><p>The switch from Carte D'Or to paper cups is the latest step on the way to the <strong>Unilever's global plastics targets,<\/strong> which include halving the amount of new plastic in packaging and an absolute reduction in plastic consumption of more than 100,000 tonnes by
