At Anuga FoodTec, the Eifel-based company Heuft is presenting its new eXaminer II foreign body detector series. The main feature of the new series is the pulsed X-ray technology, which can be experienced live on the stand in Cologne at the end of April.<\/strong><\/p>

Top-down, from the side, from below or from different perspectives at the same time with one, two or more height-adjustable, flexibly orientable X-ray flashers<\/strong>What makes foreign body detectors from the Heuft eXaminer II series so special is not only their versatility in the seamless quality inspection of packaging filled with foodstuffs such as thermoformed trays, tins, stand-up pouches or jars.<\/p>

Above all, the new generation of end-of-line systems score highly with pulsed X-ray technology, which, together with a significantly longer lifetime and smart Heuft<\/a> reflexx A.I. image processing now achieves even greater sensitivity. X-ray tubes have been specially developed and other X-ray components refined for this purpose. The user is automatically informed long before they can fail, so that there is still enough time for preventive maintenance.<\/strong> The filament is integrated twice as a particularly important component.<\/p>

The X-ray pulses, which are emitted when a product to be inspected is actually located in front of the respective X-ray flasher, now cover larger packaging areas and penetrate larger product quantities at the same time. According to the company, unlike conventional continuous emitters, there is no emission of X-rays either in the event of gaps in the production flow or in stop situations.<\/strong> Innovative full-field image converters with extended lifetime additionally increase the coverage and sensitivity of the unique pulsed X-ray inspection. To clearly distinguish them from harmless product and packaging structures, Heuft reflexx A.I. combines hardware and software developed entirely in-house for high-resolution real-time image processing with validatable artificial intelligence<\/strong> (AI) for targeted object recognition and classification as well as a teach-in based on human experience.<\/p>

At stand 5.2 \/ B030 C031 from 26 to 29 April at Anuga FoodTec 2022, the focus will be on the further developed turnkey solutions in a new type of presentation. The compact eXaminer II XB can also be experienced live in operation during the top-down inspection of pet food in thermoformed trays.<\/strong><\/p>
