The war in Ukraine has led to a humanitarian crisis and people are seeing their livelihoods threatened. Now the printing and packaging industry is to receive support: To this end, the non-profit initiative \u201ePrint Against War\u201c has been launched.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This new initiative, Print Against War, calls on printers and converters, publishers, influencers and suppliers to the printing and packaging industry to join forces to support their colleagues. Beyond the war in Ukraine, the organisation wants to continuously contribute to the reconstruction of the socio-economic fabric in the printing sector in each war-affected region<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Print Against War is an initiative of the nascent Meaningful Print Foundation and will help Ukrainian print and packaging companies to improve their operations, or support them as soon as they are able to resume production<\/strong>. Together, Print Against War and the Meaningful Print Foundation aim to mobilise the global print and packaging industry to support stakeholders in responding to wars, natural disasters, epidemics\/pandemics and other harmful and disruptive events.<\/p>

In addition, the Meaningful Print Foundation will work on long-term projects that will enable the printing industry to achieve a to have a positive influence on the planet<\/strong>, by addressing gender equality, CO2<\/sub>-neutralisation, sustainable production, education for schoolchildren in need and the inclusion of employees with disabilities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The programme is open to offers of help from suppliers, printers and other members of the print community. To encourage fundraising on a larger scale, Print Against War has come up with the idea that Online printing and packaging companies to add a voluntary checkout donation option to their e-shops<\/strong>. In this way, a broad base of designers, agencies, print service providers and individuals around the world will be able to make their contributions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
