In order to meet the demand for aluminium beverage cans, Ball has laid the foundation stone for a new beverage can plant in the Czech Republic. And a very special one at that: The first stone is made from used aluminium cans. The sustainability concept thus forms the basis of the new plant.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Ball Corporation<\/a> is investing 170 million euros (CZK 4.5 billion) to meet the growing demand for recyclable, sustainable aluminium beverage cans in the future. Up to 200 new jobs created as part of the investment<\/strong>. The modern production facility, which is expected to go into operation at the beginning of 2023, will create additional production capacity for Ball's customers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The newly created area in the \u201ePanattoni Pilsen Digital Park\u201c covers more than 100,000 square metres and offers sufficient space for possible future expansions. Carey Causey, President, Ball Beverage Packaging, EMEA, and Pavel \u0160indel\u00e1\u0159, Mayor of the city of Pilsen, jointly laid the foundation stone on 28 April as part of the celebrations to mark the start of construction. This was made of used aluminium cans and symbolises the concept of sustainability<\/strong> and the reusability of the raw material.<\/p>
