The new REA LabelTower checks label content and the quality of 1D\/2D codes in a single step using a new combination of technologies. This intelligent innovation was developed in cooperation with Strelen Control Systems GmbH. The\u00a0Wet-on-wet direct printing writes codes and plain text with contrast on smooth surfaces<\/strong>, The code quality and first-read rate are ensured by the use of the code reader, also on transparent packaging film.<\/p>

The new printing technology promotes the Sustainable production and resource conservation in the meat and food industry<\/strong>. This is because direct printing eliminates the need for labels, reduces process costs and waste volumes, as no carrier film is required. The REA JET DOD 2.0 large character inkjet printer provides pigs' carcasses with all the information required for traceability and further processing in a non-contact, inline process. For a reliable print image The 32-nozzle writing head adapts to the silhouette of the animal's body thanks to a special control system<\/strong>Using quick-drying food-grade ink approved for use on food, it automatically writes the veterinary stamp and individual alphanumeric codes on the pig skin in three lines. The latter are also used to control further processes in the increasingly digitalised slaughter process.<\/p>
