This summer, playing in the sand can be particularly sustainable. Kaufland is offering sand toys made from recycled plastic. This gives recyclable materials from private households and shops a new lease of life. The plastic is collected, cleaned and processed by PreZero.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Kaufland's recycled sand toys give packaging, old film and the like a new lease of life. The products consist of Made from at least 80 per cent recycled plastic<\/strong>. A large part of the value added is generated by various divisions of the Schwarz Group<\/a> covered. PreZero<\/a>\u00a0is responsible for the disposal and recycling management as well as the subsequent production of granulate from used plastic; the products are offered for sale at Kaufland.<\/p>

\u201eThe sustainable and ecological design of our product range is an important concern for us. With the recycled sand toys, we are once again offering high-quality products in collaboration with PreZero, which come from our Group's own recycling cycle and thus generate significantly less energy in production compared to regularly manufactured products.\u201c<\/p>

Customers can choose from five different sand toys, including vehicles and various moulds, shovels and a sand mill. While the toy vehicles are made from 80 per cent recycled and 20 per cent new granulate, all the other toys are made from recycled material. Products made entirely from recycled granulate<\/strong> (colour content not from recycled material).<\/p>

For the production of the granulate, Kwaste from private households and the shops is collected, cleaned and disposed of by PreZero.<\/strong> and processed into plastic regranulate. This results in new, high-quality and environmentally friendly products. The entire recycling and manufacturing process takes place in Europe and is therefore particularly sustainable thanks to the short transport routes. Last year, Kaufland, together with PreZero<\/a> practical household products made from recycled plastic such as storage boxes, organisers, waste bins or folding boxes in the shops.<\/p>
