At the Tax Stamp and Traceability Forum in Malta, solutions for controlling consumer tax on goods such as alcohol and tobacco were also discussed in 2022. Securikett spoke out in favour of a separation of powers in traceability systems.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At this year's conference on revenue stamps and traceability systems in Malta, new revenue stamps were used to emphasise the importance of the Verification of digital codes<\/strong> through<\/strong> Independent third parties<\/strong> presented. The aim is to prevent any attempt at misuse.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Tax Stamp and Traceability Forum 2022 took place in Malta in May. It is the only global event focussing on Solutions to control excise duties on e.g. alcohol and tobacco<\/strong>. To collect these taxes, so-called \u201etax stamps\u201c are often used to visibly exclude \u201eblack market products\u201c. With \u201eunique identifiers\u201c, they are now often also used for traceability and to fulfil the WHO FCTC protocol.<\/p>

Securikett<\/a>, an active member of the Board of the ITSA - International Tax Stamp Association - and of ISO standardisation, gave a presentation entitled \u201eFlexibility Through Interoperable Functional Units\u201c. Dr Marietta Ulrich-Horn explained that in the course of the globalisation of traceability systems, not only of tobacco products, but also, for example, of Plastic deposit, an interoperable structure increasingly important<\/strong> will.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
