E-commerce increases the requirements for fast delivery of products. The flexible gripping zone of Piab's newly developed Cobot Palletising Tool (CPT) enables the handling of multiple cartons per cycle at high speed. The CPT is an intelligent and Compact cobot gripper<\/strong> that enables customers to, palletise and deliver more products in the same time<\/strong>. Its multi-zone gripper surface picks up several packages, even with different shapes, in one cycle. The low weight of the gripper enables a higher throughput per process. The integration of the IO-Link-capable piSmart valve unit also ensures the maximum required working speed and, thanks to its Industry 4.0 capabilities, also offers the option of predictive maintenance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The simultaneous pick-up and movement of several cartons and the low weight load on the cobot arm caused by the gripper greatly reduce wear on the robot. The CPT consists of a pump unit and a suction plate that picks up the cartons. If a different configuration is required, only the suction plate needs to be replaced. Equipped with the latest coaxial vacuum generation technology, air consumption is reduced and safe suction power is guaranteed with maximum payload.<\/p>
