How can heavy goods be secured for transport on pallets? Two brothers asked themselves this question in the 1970s and developed a solution. Since then, Lantech stretch wrappers have been used worldwide for pallet wrapping. This year, the company is celebrating its 50th anniversary.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Founded in 1972, the US company Lantech<\/a> has written a success story. With the invention of the stretch wrapper, brothers Pat and Bill Lancaster achieved the feat of creating a plastic film just a few micrometres thick to reliably secure heavy goods on pallets<\/strong>. The faster, cheaper and safer method of packaging became the standard and the company subsequently perfected stretch wrapping technology with ever new functions and performance-enhancing features.<\/p>

The company opened a European site with the acquisition of the Dutch company Rembrandt in 2001 and added carton and tray handling machines to its product portfolio<\/strong>, which stand for robustness and efficiency. Today, the packaging solutions are used all over the world and the company also has sites in China and Australia.<\/p>

Despite the growth, we have succeeded in Preserving the character of a family business<\/strong>. Characteristics include long-term planning, rapid implementation of decisions, a respectful working atmosphere and great innovative strength, as evidenced by more than a hundred patents. Company founder Pat Lancaster has long since handed over the reins to his son Jim and the third generation of the family is already in the starting blocks.<\/p>
