At this year's PIDA Awards, which recognise innovative and forward-thinking packaging design, a solution from students at Stuttgart Media University stood out in particular.<\/strong><\/p><p>The undisputed winner was the <strong>Stuttgart Media University (HdM)<\/strong> from the Packaging Design Impact Award (PIDA) Germany\/Austria competition. <strong>She received three of the four PIDA prizes<\/strong>: the prizes for innovation and user-friendliness as well as the most prestigious prize, the PIDA Gold Award. With the \u201eSnap Dragon\u201c project, the winner of the Gold Award also received the prize for user-friendliness. <strong>Lisa Frey, Annika Wahler and Tabea Kasparian are behind the winning design.<\/strong><\/p><p>\u201eEven as a child, I was fascinated by snapdragons - that's what Snap Dragon is called in German. This original packaging for four tequila bottles was inspired by the basilisk, a multi-layered mythical figure. The packaging was designed by Alexa Cach and Magdalena Unterholzer from the WerbeDesign Akademie (WDA) in Salzburg.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/tag\/billerudkorsnaes\/\">BillerudKorsn\u00e4s<\/a>, the company behind PIDA, organises the competition in collaboration with leading universities and design colleges in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, the UK, China and the USA. <strong>The competition offers students the opportunity to work on a real packaging project under the same conditions as a typical customer order.<\/strong> At the same time, they can demonstrate their talent and impress established professionals who are looking for ideas and inspiration at PIDA.<\/p><p><em>Source<\/em>:
