With the labels and labelling systems from Herma, the packaging materials for chemicals can be traced. A QR code is used, which contains all the important information about the product. This is also how Duttenh\u00f6fer labels its sheet metal drums and will be presenting the solution at Fachpack.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As a market partner for industrial packaging solutions, Duttenh\u00f6fer from the is one of the first companies in the industry to offer a Herma's labelling system solution to implement traceability for certain customers<\/strong>, including the world's leading chemical companies.<\/p>

\u201eOur customers use the possibilities of fast and reliable traceability primarily for containers into which food precursors are filled, such as flavourings, or particularly hazardous substances, for example TDI, a foam precursor. These are filling goods for which our customers always want to ensure reliable traceability. We use the labelling solution from Herma<\/a> for several months now and are very satisfied. This applies to the handling of the labelling technology and the label material, which was developed in accordance with the requirements of VPA 9.\u201c<\/p>

High demands on labels <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Traceability based on a QR code<\/strong>, which is labelled on the lidded drum. It contains a consecutive serial number, information on the container manufacturer and a packaging number assigned by the user. This allows each individual drum to be identified and localised along the supply chain and transport routes. The code also helps the user to ensure at the time of filling that packaging suitable for the product is actually used<\/strong>. The high reliability of the labelling technology is crucial. For example, the label with the QR code must be able to withstand any hot filling without damage. Above all, however, the label, adhesive and the printing inks used must be seawater-resistant in accordance with British Standard BS5609 (Sections 2 and 3).<\/p>

Thanks to the experience gained from many years of collaboration with the BASF<\/a> Herma was able to develop a suitable system solution for these requirements thanks to its extensive expertise from its own adhesive material production. It consists of the PA4 printing and labelling system and the matching labels. It is designed for a durable and tough industrial applications that require precise label printing<\/strong>. At Duttenh\u00f6fer, the system was integrated into the production line for the barrels.<\/p>
