After a year's delay, the Carton Austria Awards 2021 were finally presented. At the award ceremony in Vienna, the company Cardbox Packaging scooped two awards, winning both the Public Award and the Jury Award for its cartonboard solutions.<\/strong><\/p>

The autumn award ceremony had to be cancelled due to the pandemic and has now been rescheduled. Two awards were presented: one from the jury and one from the audience.<\/strong> The jury consists of the editors of Cash Handelsmagazin. Certificates and trophies were presented by Horst Bittermann, President of Pro Carton, Martin Widermann, Managing Director of Propak Austria, and Claudia St\u00fcckler for Cash.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The jury prize went to \"Gloot\", a system for fuelling barbecue charcoal<\/strong>. This easy and clean way to barbecue enjoyment comes from brand owner Thomas Schiefer, who also accepted the award in person - together with Rene Buchart from Cardbox Packaging<\/a>. The box comes from BillerudKorsn\u00e4s.<\/p>

The folding box can be transformed into a fireplace in just a few simple steps<\/strong>which makes the charcoal inside glow without fail. The barbecue is ready in less than a quarter of an hour. Award winner Thomas Schiefer comments: \"In my region, the traditional charcoal burner trade still exists. The regional charcoal burners produce high-quality charcoal. The packaging complements this premium product<\/strong> - for an enjoyable, relaxed barbecue experience.\" The jury agreed: \"A particularly elegant and convincing idea of how packaging can become part of the product.\"<\/p>

The audience award was won by \"Smart One\" from Playbrush, which Packaging for an intelligent sonic toothbrush<\/strong>also produced by Cardbox Packaging Wolfsberg, made of cardboard from Mets\u00e4 Board. An exclusively developed packaging was required for this very special toothbrush, which combines the necessary stability with a beautiful and functional design<\/strong> and presented the product accordingly. This time, Bettina Tschoner-Fuchs from Mets\u00e4 Board and Nini Gregori and Moritz Hoyos from Playbrush stood next to Rene Buchart at the award ceremony: the entire supply chain was together to accept the prize.<\/p>
