S\u00fcdpack will be presenting sustainable film and packaging concepts at Fachpack in Nuremberg in September. Among other things, the trade fair presentation will focus on recyclable packaging concepts, solutions for the circular economy and high-performance films made from renewable resources.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition to optimising our own CO2<\/sub>-balance towards net zero, the film manufacturer is focussing on the following as part of its sustainability strategy Development of high-performance structures that fulfil current requirements in terms of recyclability and material efficiency<\/strong>. One example of this is the Pure-Line product family, which includes recyclable monomaterials based on PP as well as solutions made of PE for various packaging concepts.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201eWe aligned our portfolio with the changing requirements of the market at an early stage and now offer an attractive selection of particularly material-efficient and recyclable solutions for a wide range of food products. Start-ups in the \u201enew food\u201c sector in particular are currently showing increased interest in our flow packs. And for meat products such as minced meat or alternative proteins, the concept is nothing less than a genuine packaging revolution.\u201c<\/p>

Despite their low material thickness, the material structures based on Pure-Line films, which can be efficiently processed on horizontal and vertical flow-pack systems, offer a high degree of flexibility. comparable stability and the same high level of product protection as conventional packaging systems<\/strong>. New Pure-Line products<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Doypacks are a new addition to the Pure line. Like the Flow Packs, they can be equipped with customised barriers and functionalities. The previously The usual aluminium-based barrier composite has been replaced by a recyclable mono-plastic solution made of polypropylene<\/strong>. This means that customers now also have an attractive and sustainable packaging concept in this area, for example for dried sausages and similar products, which supports the legal demand for recyclable packaging.<\/p>

For the production of sustainable thermoformed packaging, on the other hand, the company's Multifol PurePP and the Multipeel PurePP two strong film concepts<\/strong> in Nuremberg, which are also characterised by their material efficiency and certified recyclability. For example, the packaging weight of a flexible packaging concept consisting of a Multifol PurePP flexible film as the bottom film and a peelable PP-based top film is only around 55 per cent compared to conventional tray packaging.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Valeska Haux: \u201eEven if the harmful greenhouse gas emissions from food packaging in Germany only amount to one to three per cent - every gram of packaging material that can be saved right from the start reduces the environmental impact of the packaging.\u201c<\/p>
