To ensure that goods reach the end consumer undamaged and unsoiled at the point of sale, transport must run smoothly. This is where securing plays an important role. At drinktec, Mosca will be exhibiting pallet strapping machines and stretch wrappers that secure beverages for transport.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

No matter what material they are made of or what size they are: In order to transport containers safely and efficiently in the beverage industry, a stable composite is required. However, this must fulfil very different requirements depending on the container.<\/p>

\"Whereas with drinks cans you run the risk of deforming them during transport, glass bottles must be very carefully protected against breakage. In addition, the transport protection must also be suitable for further processing. Empty beverage cans, for example, must be transported as efficiently as possible in large quantities, while filled bottles must meet the high demands of the retail trade.\"<\/p>

Safe and sustainable strapping <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Empty beverage cans are lightweight, come in different formats and need to be transported in large quantities. They not only need to be sealed from the side or from above, but also require a light pressure to reliably secure the cans for transport to the beverage producers. This is where the KZV-111 pallet strapping machine from Mosca comes into its own: It is specially designed for strapping goods on pallets and can create the required pressure on the empty cans through vertical strapping<\/strong>. With the help of sustainable belt materials such as the PET strapping made entirely from recycled materials<\/strong> the KZV-111 secures up to 61 pallets per hour for transport in a resource-saving manner. As a narrow plastic belt is sufficient to secure even the heaviest pallets, material consumption and CO2<\/sub>-footprint is minimal.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The second exhibit is also all about securing pallets: The Saturn S6 stretch wrapper from the MOSCA brand Movitec wraps up to 120 pallets per hour; the speed and tension can be customised. The goods remain static, a film reel circles horizontally around the pallet. The wrapping is particularly suitable for Securing filled cans or fragile bottles<\/strong>: The focus here is on protection against external influences and manageability in retail.<\/p>

Thanks to the elastic wrapping film - which can be stretched by up to 300 per cent by pre-stretching the film - and the additional top film dispenser, the load not only remains stable during transport, but cardboard bottle carriers are also protected from moisture and dust. Supermarket staff can then remove the film layer by layer in order to ergonomically remove individual pallet layers. At the same time, the Saturn S6 as a ring wrapper can easily apply a band to the film to mark the goods<\/strong> - without leaving any sticky residue on the products. Thanks to the efficient cutting and sealing system it also seals the film over the entire surface at the end of the wrapping cycle<\/strong> and thus avoids protruding film residues.<\/p>
