The digital tool takes into account the standards from up to 27 EU countries as well as Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.<\/strong><\/p><p>The CHIRA (CHI Recyclability Assessment 1.0) software is now generally available after several months of testing with industrial users. <strong>It is a tool for differentiated assessment of recyclability and at the same time a multifunctional tool for ecological packaging optimisation.<\/strong> According to the manufacturer, users can use the test and certification basis of the <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/tag\/cyclos-htp\/\">CHI<\/a>-catalogue to determine the recyclability of your packaging and obtain an accurate and reliable result. <strong>CHIRA 1.0 takes into account both the state of the art and the current status of the recycling infrastructure in up to 27 EU countries as well as Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.<\/strong><\/p><p>\u201eThis unique tool will significantly simplify and speed up the assessment of recyclability,\u201c says Joachim Christiani, CHI Managing Director. \u201e<strong>The sustainable design of packaging is becoming increasingly important, as it is key to a functioning circular economy<\/strong>.\u201c The eco-design of packaging and products will soon also have an economic impact: \u201eNon-recyclable packaging will soon have financial disadvantages. data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In addition to calculating the recyclability, CHIRA provides a differentiated evaluation result for the nine standard criteria of the CHI evaluation catalogue as well as a commentary report. <strong>The software displays the recyclable material content, the result of an NIR simulation, automatic density calculation and much more as a forecast.<\/strong> The forecasts for the individual criteria can be overwritten by specific measured values.<\/p><p>If a certificate is required in addition to the analysis, users export their input data set as a CSV file and send the required samples for comparison by the expert and for any necessary laboratory tests.
