For the film manufacturer S\u00fcdpack, the trade fair appearance is all about sustainability: the main eye-catcher is the large theme island on the sustainability roadmap. The focus is on recyclable packaging concepts for a wide range of industries, solutions for the circular economy, size and material reduction and high-performance films made from renewable resources.<\/strong><\/p>

In addition to optimising our own CO2<\/sub>-balance sheet, the company is focussing in particular on the Development of high-performance structures that optimally fulfil current requirements in terms of recyclability and material efficiency.<\/strong> The best example of this is the innovative Pure-Line product family, which includes recyclable monomaterials based on PP as well as solutions made of PE for various packaging concepts.<\/p>

Special visitor interest expected South pack<\/a> especially for flow-wrap packaging. Despite their low material thickness, the material structures based on Pure Line films, which can be processed efficiently on horizontal and vertical flow pack systems, offer comparable stability and the same high level of product protection as conventional packaging systems (Fig.). In contrast to tray packaging Material savings of up to 60 per cent<\/strong> which is also reflected in the CO2<\/sub>-emissions along the entire logistics chain.<\/p>

S\u00fcdpack will also be focussing on its new Pure-Line Doypacks. Like the flow packs, they can be equipped with customised barriers and functionalities.<\/strong> The previously used aluminium-based barrier composite has been replaced by a recyclable monoplastic solution made from polypropylene. This means that customers now have an attractive and, above all, sustainable packaging concept in this area too, for example for dried sausages, which supports the legal demand for recyclable packaging.<\/p>

For the production of thermoformed packaging, the company is presenting two film concepts, Multifol PurePP and Multipeel PurePP, which are based on Material efficiency<\/strong> and have certified recyclability. For example, the packaging weight of a flexible packaging concept consisting of a Multifol-PurePP flexible film as the bottom film and a peelable PP-based top film is only around 55 per cent compared to conventional tray packaging.<\/p>

S\u00fcdpack and partner SN Maschinenbau are expecting lively visitor interest from all sectors of industry, as the trend towards particularly resource-saving, recyclable materials is set to continue.<\/p>
