It is elaborately lacquered and has rounded corners<\/strong><\/p><p>The new Stella Artois packaging is a joint project by packaging specialist <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/tag\/karl-knauer\/\">Karl Knauer<\/a>the <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/tag\/krones\/\">Krones AG<\/a> and the world's largest brewery group AB InBev. It has been on the market since spring and is making consumers take notice.<\/p><p>The cardboard box with rounded corners and an elaborate paint finish is designed to ensure that you can't get past the packaging. Karl Knauer has designed a telescopic handle so that the twelve 0.33 litre bottles in the 6.5 kg container can be transported home safely and conveniently. The lower compartment holds all the bottles together and can be used as a tray if the integrated side flaps are pushed inwards. When the packaging is empty, the kraft cardboard, which comes from sustainable European resources and FSC\u00ae \/ PEFC\u2122-certified production, can be easily recycled in the paper bin.<\/span><br><\/p>\n<p>As detailed as the handling was thought through for the customer, the packaging process was also cleverly designed: A particular challenge in the project was to guarantee the required high packaging speed with or much more despite the round corners.
