As part of its \u201eNo Waste\u201c mission, Coveris is presenting new and sustainable packaging solutions made of plastic and paper at Fachpack in Nuremberg. They are designed to extend the shelf life of products and reduce packaging waste. The overall aim is to produce less waste.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the spirit of the circular economy, the company focuses on developing advanced, high-performance packaging designs made from recyclate<\/strong>, which guarantee easy recyclability. One of the most important innovations that the company is presenting at Fachpack is the extended CPP Cleancast Films product range for duplex and triplex polypropylene-based laminate alternatives. The key advantage of these cast polypropylene films is their High temperature resistance without shrinking<\/strong> (0 % at 150 \u00b0C). This makes it ideal packaging for food, pet food and non-food products. It also helps to conserve resources thanks to its improved recyclability.<\/p>


Two other new products that also score points for their recyclability are the new Wash-off labels and fully recyclable transport films<\/strong>. The wash-off labels have been developed for PET and rPET bottles and containers. Compatible with deposit return systems (DRS), the labels maximise the recovery of clean PET that is recycled for rPET. The labels are also available with DPG-approved security ink for a traceable recycling process. The fully recyclable transport films have a recycled content of 30 per cent. The stretch films, including tubes, are Made from recycled plastic and with energy from renewable sources<\/strong>. They offer an efficient and sustainable solution for stabilising up to 900 kg of freight with just 800 grams of film, for example.<\/p>

The extended range of recyclable PE and PP MonoFlex films and laminates, including packaging for grated cheese, will also be on display at the trade fair. MonoFlex packaging is available in a wide range of formats and sizes (up to 12 kg) and offers a high level of protection. Direct replacement for non-recyclable or difficult-to-recycle plastics<\/strong> - while maintaining product shelf life, performance, functionality and packaging efficiency.\u00a0
The new strategy presented in 2021 PaperBarrier Seal packaging has been optimised in terms of functionality and product safety<\/strong> - while at the same time minimising packaging and product waste. PaperBarrier Seal is suitable for a wide range of products, such as dry food or snacks. The packaging is characterised by a special paper coating that enables sealing and is also fully recyclable in existing paper streams.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Brands looking for recyclable packaging alternatives for dairy products and fresh produce will find what they are looking for. A wide range of lidding films, foils and laminates combine the best properties of the packaging manufacturer's standard products. These include improved convenience when opening and resealing, lower material weight and an attractive, high-quality appearance at the point of sale. The demand for \u201eto go\u201c food packaging is growing rapidly. Coveris has recognised this trend and responded with the RecyclaPEel MAP sandwich box. The packaging was developed for Longer shelf life, product visibility and shelf appeal <\/strong>developed. Consisting of a sustainably produced cardboard and a removable polyethylene (PE) film, all components are separable and fully recyclable.<\/p>
