V. (dvi) announced the winners of the Gold Awards at this year's German Packaging Award at Fachpack in Nuremberg. The winners of the Gold Awards were also announced on the first day of Fachpack in Nuremberg. \"With the Gold Award, the jury of the German Packaging Award honours innovations that stand out from the crowd.<strong> even from the circle of packaging award winners<\/strong>\", explains Dr Bettina Horenburg, Director Corporate Communications at Siegwerk Druckfarben and, as a member of the dvi board, overall responsible for the German Packaging Award.<\/p><p><strong>In the end it was six times gold<\/strong>. Katja Fee\u00df gave the laudatory speech for the winners in the Young Talent category. <strong>Fachpack had provided a special prize here.<\/strong> The two Gold Award winners in the Sustainability category were honoured by the representative of Packaging Valley, Martin Buchwitz. Not only is the conventional drying process no longer necessary, but also the curing time of at least two days. Their P&amp;G ECOCLIC\u00ae Box for liquid laundry capsules is <strong>an innovative box for detergent tabs that saves considerable amounts of plastic and transport capacity<\/strong> and consists of 70 per cent FSC-certified material. As added value, the box offers a new, ingenious child safety lock, which is very simple and inconspicuously integrated, yet works reliably.<\/p><p>A Gold Award went to the Alb\u00e9a Group from France for its Tube EcoFusion Top with Thin-Wall &amp; PCR Max. <strong>The two-part tube was designed with sustainability in mind in an impressive way.<\/strong> By reducing the tube wall thickness to an absolute minimum, it was possible to save around 30 per cent in weight. The optimisation of the closure cap even led to an 80 percent weight saving compared to comparable standard closures. The programme includes intelligent query menus for individual packaging types and archiving of the assessments. The software can also be used as an instrument for packaging optimisation.
