The automation expert Pilz now offers manufacturers a safety and security solution package for safeguarding automated guided vehicles (AGVs). The complete solution includes safe area monitoring for collision protection of humans and AGVs as well as safe evaluation units and tamper protection - whether for track-bound or freely navigating AGVs. <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The complete solution includes the PSENscan safety laser scanner <\/strong>(collision protection for humans and AGVs), the modular Safety relay myPNOZ<\/strong> or the configurable Small controller PNOZmulti 2<\/strong> (as evaluation units) and the Industrial Firewall SecurityBridge<\/strong> (tamper protection). Various command and signalling devices such as the evaluation unit of the operating mode selection and access authorisation system complete efficient monitoring for users.<\/p>

The complete solution from Mushroom<\/a> covers for the first time, tamper protection for mobile applications<\/strong> from. The included security solution via the SecurityBridge firewall protects driverless transport vehicles or systems against unauthorised access when communicating via radio. It reliably ensures this, that nobody can access the internal IT network of the mobile platform during operation without authorisation.<\/strong> The AGV and its card data thus remain protected and productivity is guaranteed.<\/p>

The PSENscan safety laser scanner in the solution package enables the protection and productive area monitoring of mobile platforms. With track-bound AGVs, PSENscan recognises objects along the route even at high speeds<\/strong> and adapts warning and safety zones in a functionally safe manner. PSENscan offers up to 70 protective fields. These enable Dynamic protective field adjustment even with freely navigating AGVs<\/strong>. The ROS packages (open-source robot operating system) of PSENscan provide the data for the dynamic navigation of AGVs. Users can use this for their own SLAM algorithm (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping).<\/p>

If additional safety functions such as emergency stop are to be covered on the AGV, users can utilise a flexible product solution consisting of PSENscan and the modular safety relay myPNOZ. If the requirements change, myPNOZ can be extended as required in the event of a future expansion of the range of functions<\/strong>. This enables a high degree of flexibility in the design of mobile applications.<\/p>
