In view of numerous demanding packaging applications, heat-resistant OPP films need to be developed to meet the recycling requirements of the flex-pack industry due to the elimination of PET films. With Bicor 12MB100, the company Jindal Films is bringing a thin OPP film with high rigidity<\/strong> for a wide range of PET replacement applications. This is designed to help brand owners further reduce their packaging weight while ensuring robust print processing.<\/p>

For more specialised applications, Bicor 25MR100 is also suitable for outer webs in retort sterilised applications, according to the company<\/strong>to minimise shrinkage and visual distortion during heat sealing and steam autoclaving in the development of PP-based retort laminates.<\/p>

Jindal Films expands its portfolio of non-heat-sealable OPP films for the outer web with a very low gloss level<\/strong> (Bicor 18 & 25CSRM) to provide a matt appearance traditionally associated with paper-based laminates.<\/p>

Jindal Films is expanding its wide range of barrier film solutions that can replace conventional aluminium films by using modified barrier technologies on thin OPP films. Its Metallyte 16MM883 barrier solution is increasingly being used across Europe - from coffee markets to infant nutrition - to help brand owners gradually replace their non-recyclable barrier laminates (e.g. PET\/ALU\/PE, paper\/ALU\/PE) with PP-based barrier laminates<\/strong>that can be used in current or developing PP or mixed PO recycling streams.<\/p>

PVdC-coated films, on the other hand, are gradually being replaced by halogen-free solutions. Jindal Films is launching new Bicor 36&42 COS5 films with PVdC-free designs that specially designed for the demanding cosmetics packaging market<\/strong> are. This new range of high gloss, high sealable, coated OPP films offers high abrasion and perfume resistance for perfume or health and beauty applications.<\/p>
