Sustainable product design takes place at P\u00f6ppelmann Group<\/a>\u00a0according to the eco-design concept. At the KAPSTO division, which specialises in plastic protection solutions for industrial applications, 1,900 additional Article now also gradually available as a sustainable plastic version as standard<\/strong> be. KAPSTO manufactures the resource-saving protective caps and plugs either from 100 per cent circular post-consumer recyclate (PCR) or from predominantly PCR plus virgin material. The FAMAC division, which specialises in technical functional parts and packaging for the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries as well as medical technology, will be presenting its latest products at the Pharma-Medical division, including a joint project with the strategic customer<\/strong> Dr\u00e4gerwerk AG & Co KGaA: FAMAC was a partner for the development of plastic parts for breathing filter housings. Thanks to the new square design, the filter material can be optimally utilised as there is less waste.<\/p>

The project went hand in hand with Dr\u00e4ger's strategic decision to relocate production of the product to Germany. Dr\u00e4ger was honoured with a Red Dot design award for the respiratory system filters already launched on the market. Together with partner QIAGEN N.V., a provider of sample-to-insight solutions for life science laboratory tests, FAMAC also developed Sustainable reaction vessels made from 100 per cent post-consumer recyclate in compliance with all GMP requirements<\/strong>. The plastics specialist thus proves that greater sustainability is also possible in the strictly regulated laboratory sector.<\/p>
