Triple bubble blown film technology can be used to produce thermoforming films with reduced thickness, thereby saving costs and material.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ae0a3fa exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ae0a3fa\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Without compromising on performance characteristics, the <strong>simultaneously biaxially stretched thermoforming films in the triple-bubble process with 80 to 120 \u00b5m only about half as thick as the classic<\/strong>The moulding foils used in this application. A maximum thermoforming ratio of 1:10 can be achieved. This means a reduction in material consumption and therefore the associated greenhouse gas emissions by around 50 per cent.<\/p><p>Thanks to optimised cooling rates, the large-scale systems enable throughputs of up to 2,000 kg\/h and annual production rates of up to more than 15,000 t\/a. Their productivity and profitability can therefore match or even exceed that of cast film lines. In further processing <strong>storage is also reduced, and the significantly lower energy consumption during thermoforming enables a further reduction in CO<sub>2<\/sub>-footprint<\/strong> with good machinability at the same time. They are usually based on <strong>PA, EVOH and PE and combine high transparency with good suitability for thermoforming and high puncture resistance<\/strong>.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The perfection now achieved by Kuhne Anlagenbau in the triple bubble process developed in-house back in 1996 now gives the processor access to the <strong>Combination of low film thicknesses with the high throughputs that can only be achieved with large machines<\/strong>. The traditional economic advantages of cast film over blown film are therefore a thing of the past in this area.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0efaff7 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"0efaff7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Large selection of materials <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-297f51c exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"297f51c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The triple bubble technology for the production of biaxially stretched blown film is named after the serial arrangement of three bubbles. In the first, the film is quickly cooled with cold water using water quench technology. Kuhne has further optimised this process for the large-scale systems, thus enabling the efficiency-enhancing increased cooling rates. They <strong>Effectively prevent crystallisation processes as a prerequisite for uniform stretching<\/strong> in the subsequent, second stage. The high orientation achieved at the molecular level improves the mechanical and barrier properties of the films. Thermal relaxation in the third bubble is used to achieve the desired thermoforming behaviour.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Triple bubble systems from Kuhne currently enable the production of films with up to 17 layers at widths of up to 3,000 mm double flat (6,000 mm film width) and a production output of over 2,000 kg\/h. The systems are suitable for processing all common plastics such as PE, PP, PET, PA, EVOH, COC, EVA, EMA, ionomer, etc. Depending on the weight of the packaged goods, maximum thickness reduction is also possible with thermoforming recipes that contain far less than 10 per cent PA and EVOH and can be run without problems and with good performance.
