The machine manufacturer Multivac is investing in a new plant in Buchenau in Hesse. Construction of the building complex, in which the company based in Wolfertschwenden, Swabia, is investing around 15 million euros, began on 13 October. Once completed, the production site will be used to develop the Slicing business unit.<\/strong><\/p>

Multivac<\/a> has been developing and producing high-performance slicing machines for the global food industry at its Buchenau site since 2017. A business unit that has grown strongly over the past four years. \"As we expect demand to increase in the coming years, we now need significantly larger premises<\/strong>\", says Tom Stachel, Senior Vice President Business Unit Slicing. \"We are therefore investing in a new application centre for tests and demonstrations at the Buchenau site in order to secure the expected growth and guarantee customer proximity at the same time.\"<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The ground-breaking ceremony took place on 13 October. Among the invited guests were Marco Schmidtke, Mayor of Dautphetal, and Dr Tina Christmann-Ayles, Vice President of the Lahn-Dill Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Guido Spix, Managing Director, was on site as a representative of Multivac's management. \"The Slicing division has developed very positively over the last four years. We are optimistic about the future<\/strong> and see ourselves well equipped for the further development of the division with the new location,\" says Guido Spix. \"The investment is a key milestone in our growth strategy<\/strong> and a clear commitment by the owner families to a long-term involvement in the region.\"<\/p>

At the Carlsh\u00fctte, an industrial area in the municipality of Dautphetal a building complex of around 4,700 square metres on a site area of one hectare<\/strong> a new customer and application centre, a production hall and a warehouse. Enough space to be able to concentrate more on the development and assembly of modern high-performance slicing machines for the food industry. Completion is planned for the end of 2023.<\/p>
