S\u00fcdpack will be represented at the Coperion stand at K 2022. The two companies are working on solutions for an effective circular economy. At the trade fair, they will be showcasing a technical application for special compounds based on PIR recyclates.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A central goal of South pack<\/a> is to close material cycles in the packaging industry. The film manufacturer is focussing in particular on the Recovery of valuable materials through mechanical and chemical recycling and the production of compounds<\/strong> based on PIR recyclates for a wide range of applications. The compounds can be used both developed from both conventional and bio-based raw materials and used for injection moulding, extrusion, filament<\/strong> and can even be used for solutions in technically demanding areas of application. They can be optimally customised to meet specific customer requirements, for example in terms of their mechanical properties, resistance to chemicals or antistatic properties.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The compounds are certified in accordance with the criteria of the \u201eInternational Sustainability and Carbon Certification System\u201c (ISCC Plus), which guarantees an exact and Complete traceability of the materials used for the compounds along the entire value and supply chain<\/strong> is ensured. The compounds conserve resources and reduce waste. Above all, however, they are characterised by lower CO2<\/sub>-footprint.<\/p>

The compounds are produced on a ZSK 45 Mc18 <\/sup>Twin screw extruder from Coperion<\/a>. The extruder is equipped with gravimetric twin-screw and single-screw feeders from Coperion K-Tron. These are characterised by a High reliability and accuracy in dosing<\/strong> of the compacted and agglomerated film waste into the twin-screw extruder.<\/p>

The twin-screw extruders from the ZSK Mc18<\/sup>-series work very gently on the product - and at the same time impress with their high specific torque of 18 Nm\/cm\u00b3. With a very short dwell time of the product in the twin-screw extruder, they achieve enormous throughputs at a reduced melt temperature and a consistently high product quality.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The compounds are used for injection-moulded housing components are used in the household appliance sector, for example in the cordless hoovers and the new Kobold VK7 Modular cleaning system<\/strong> from Vorwerk, which will be on display at the Coperion stand. The company is consistently working on replacing conventional components with ecological alternatives and continuously increasing the proportion of recycled material in its products. The new Kobold VK7 is a good example of this.<\/p>

In addition to the product presentation, the project partners Coperion, S\u00fcdpack and Vorwerk will also present the joint solution in a lecture at the Circular Economy Forum. This is scheduled for 24 October at 15:30.<\/p>
