The Dortmund-based KHS Group has further developed its rPET container for the homecare and food industries. The recyclable bottle is now also available with a glue-in handle. The development of the 2.3-litre PET bottle with a glued-in handle is the result of a one-and-a-half-year Collaboration between KHS and the Logoplaste Innovation Lab<\/strong>. The aim was to design a container specifically for homecare products in such a way that it minimises CO2<\/sub>-footprint. With their now marketable solution, the companies want to support the industry's sustainability endeavours.<\/p>

In direct comparison, the Resource consumption in the manufacturing process reduced by up to 30 per cent<\/strong>; compared to a clipped-in handle, the saving is around 10 per cent. In conjunction with Preferential Heating, KHS offers precise and reliable technology. The proven and energy-efficient heating process enables a Homogeneous material distribution in the stretch blow moulding process for unevenly and complexly shaped plastic containers<\/strong> - which on the one hand reduces the use of resources and at the same time increases its stability. The neck alignment with millimetre precision as an optional component enables precise product dosing using orientated pouring caps. As the new PET bottle also has no seams, unlike conventional HDPE or PP containers<\/strong> has convinced them in demanding internal drop test procedures, according to Wenderdel.<\/p>
