Both the beverage bottle segment and the food packaging glass segment were able to increase their sales. Glass packaging continues to be in high demand.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b1d8f48 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b1d8f48\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\"><div class=\"layoutArea\"><div class=\"column\"><p>Sales in the <strong>Beverage bottles segment increased by 6.3 per cent in the first half of 2022<\/strong>. A look at the sub-segments shows sales growth in the beer and spirits (5.1 per cent) and wine and sparkling wine (6.3 per cent) segments. Non-alcoholic beverages (water, milk and juice) also recorded a rise in sales with an increase of 11.6 per cent. After last year's declines, the segment appears to be recovering. One reason for this is probably the <strong>Normalisation of changed demand as a result of the 2020 lockdown<\/strong>, be. In addition, there are clearly <strong>Elevated temperatures in the months of April to June<\/strong>, which could be seen as an additional reason for increased consumption of non-alcoholic drinks in particular.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f18c41b exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f18c41b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Varying growth in packaging glass for food<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d1e6f28 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d1e6f28\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\"><div class=\"layoutArea\"><div class=\"column\"><p>The packaging glass for food and packaging glass for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics segment recovered from the previous year's decline in sales and closed the first half of 2022 with growth of 3.4 per cent. The sub-segments developed differently: for <strong>Sales of packaging glass for food excluding OGS (fruit, vegetables and tinned sour foods) fell by 1.7 per cent<\/strong>.
