At SPS in Nuremberg, Omron and Dassault Syst\u00e8mes are showcasing an automation solution that links OT and IT. The aim is to make production processes more flexible, sustainable and efficient.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The automation experts from Omron<\/a> and the virtual twin specialists from Dassault Syst\u00e8mes are now showing how OT and IT in production environments can be linked in such a way that industrial companies can rationalise processes<\/strong> can. The technology company Dassault Syst\u00e8mes creates collaborative virtual environments as \u201evirtual twin experiences\u201c of the real world. In collaboration with VAF and Dassault Syst\u00e8mes and using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, Omron has developed a Robot-assisted stacker cell for the assembly of fuel cell stacks<\/strong> developed. The solution can achieve a 0.5-second cycle of the individual layers of bipolar (BPP) and membrane electrode plates (MEA). The idea for the project came from e.Volution.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The solutions of the i-Automation! concept are precisely tailored to the requirements of the automotive industry and other sectors. Omron technologies are \u201eintegrated\u201c (further development of the control system), \u201eintelligent\u201c (development of intelligence through ICT) and \u201einteractive\u201c (co-operation between man and machine).<\/p>

The collaboration between the two companies brings Software-supported and simultaneous development of product and production processes<\/strong>, for innovative mobility solutions and a faster time-to-market, among other things. Process optimisation to better cover efficiency and sustainability requirements as early as the development process and a consistent and tried-and-tested automation system for interface-free integration at all system levels are further advantages. Customers benefit from shorter commissioning times thanks to a virtually pre-planned system that has been validated by the end customer (virtual twin).<\/p>
