The paper bag producer Riedle is expanding its range. Having already added bags made from apple pomace to its portfolio alongside its \u201eclassic\u201c paper bags, the company is now adding bags made from silphia.<\/strong><\/p>

The Danube silphia has been used in Germany for several years for the production of electricity, gas and heat and is already ensuring biodiversity in local meadows during its cultivation. In line with the cascading use of the plant, the fibres produced as waste now form the basis for a new natural paper.<\/strong> Compared to conventional wood pulp, the energy and water balance during production can be significantly better and the yield per unit area can be much higher thanks to efficient land utilisation.<\/p>

In the food-safe, compostable and vegan products<\/strong> Carrier bags made from Silphie paper can be used to transport content and brand messages. An unusual design, strong colours or creative finishes ensure additional reach and attention. Individual fibres of the plant are visible in its structure, giving the products their extraordinary look and feel.<\/strong><\/p>

According to the company, it is made exclusively from a natural material that is processed in a resource-saving process, can be used a maximum number of times and returns to nature uncontaminated at the end of its life cycle. \u201eThis is also in line with the values we live by every day: We show respect for the earth as our only habitat<\/strong>, We take responsibility for the people who are at the centre of our actions and we have the courage to always replace the good with the better,\u201c says Managing Director Volker Riedle.<\/p>
