Netto Germany has become a partner of \"M\u00fclltrennung wirkt\", the dual systems initiative, to educate consumers about waste separation and encourage more recycling. Since 14 November, posters have been informing customers under the motto \"Together for more recycling\".<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With Net Germany<\/a> has launched the initiative \"Waste separation works<\/a>\" has gained another strong partner from the food retail sector. From 14 November, the subsidiary of the Danish Salling Group and the dual systems initiative will be educating consumers about waste separation.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For Netto, climate and resource protection are part of responsible and sustainable corporate management. The comprehensive international package of measures therefore includes Internal recycling rates for waste and high targets for the environmentally friendly use and handling of plastic in packaging<\/strong>.<\/p>

Netto's journey towards plastic reduction began with the Removing the plastic lids for dairy products<\/strong>. The removal of plastic lids has already saved over three tonnes of packaging waste in 2021. Furthermore, the proportion of unpackaged fruit and vegetables is set to increase to 40 per cent by 2024.<\/p>

\"We are making good progress in many areas. But our commitment alone is not enough - we need the support of everyone. What use is recyclable packaging, for example, if consumers don't know how to separate and dispose of it properly? The educational work with the 'Waste separation works' initiative is therefore an important addition for us.\"<\/p>
