The first coffee capsule system without capsules from the CoffeeB brand will also be available in Germany from April 2023. The small ball of pressed coffee, which is only encased in a patented protective layer, was developed by Migros subsidiary Delica and is already on the market in Switzerland and France.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Edeka becomes the first food retail partner in Germany and will offer the sustainable capsules in its participating stores from April 2023. The CoffeeB brand was launched in 2022 under the umbrella of the Migros subsidiary Delica<\/strong> AG was launched.<\/p>

CoffeeB has all the convenience of conventional capsule systems and guarantees the best coffee enjoyment - without creating waste. Like the coffee itself, the protective layer is of natural origin and therefore completely garden-compostable.<\/strong> \"CoffeeB combines what has not yet been possible to combine in the coffee sector: a full flavour experience, convenience and zero waste,\" says Frank Wilde, Head of CoffeeB. \"We are delighted to have Edeka on board. For us, this is another indicator of how important the CoffeeB mission of sustainably reducing coffee capsule waste is: The global amount of waste caused by coffee capsules amounts to over 100,000 tonnes per year<\/strong>we can avoid this enormous amount of waste with our CoffeeB zero-waste system.\"<\/p>

The sustainability of CoffeeB goes beyond the garden compostability of the Coffee Balls: the system is completed by the CoffeeB \"Globe\" coffee machine with patented brewing technology. The machine is very energy-efficient - and also switches off automatically after one minute. It consists of made from up to 34 per cent recycled materials and thanks to a modular machine design, individual components can be replaced or repaired.<\/strong> Furthermore, the system and all coffee varieties on offer are 100 per cent CO2-compensated. The coffee beans come from sustainable cultivation and, depending on the flavour, are either Rainforest Alliance or organic and Fairtrade certified, and all packaging is recyclable.<\/p>
