From the beginning of December, Stora Enso will have a new Executive Vice President, Forest Division. After 25 years with the company, Jari Suominen is leaving. Per Lyrvall will take over his position in the Forest Division and continue to be part of the management team.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jari Suominen, Executive Vice President (EVP), Forest Division and member of the Group Leadership Team, has decided to, Stora Enso<\/a> to leave the company. After more than 25 years with the company, Jari Suominen will now pursue career opportunities outside Stora Enso. Per Lyrvall, currently EVP Legal, has been appointed as the new EVP Forest Division. Per Lyrvall will take over this Fand will continue to be a member of the Group Leadership Team (GLT).<\/strong>.<\/p>

\u201eAfter a long and rewarding career at Stora Enso, it is now time for me to take the next step. I am very grateful for the opportunities I have had within the company and of course for all the fantastic colleagues I have been lucky enough to work with over the years.\u201c<\/p>

Jari Suominen<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>

Jari Suominen joined Stora Enso in 1995 and has headed the company's forestry division since its foundation in 2020. Prior to that, Jari Suominen was EVP and Head of Stora Enso's Wood Products business area since 2014.<\/p>

\u201eI would like to thank Jari for all the contributions he has made to Stora Enso over the years, it has been a real pleasure to work with him. Jari has driven the change in the Wood Products division by building up our Building Solutions business and now recently establishing the new Forest division. On behalf of all my colleagues, I would like to wish him every success and happiness in his future endeavours.\u201c<\/p>

Per Lyrvall joined the company in 1994 and has been a member of the GLT since 2012 and General Counsel since 2008. Per Lyrvall will continue his current responsibilities as Stora Enso Country Head in Sweden in addition to his new role as Head of Forestry.<\/p>

I look forward to continuing Jari Suominen's work to drive our forestry activities with a focus on sustainability, biodiversity and wood supply services that support Stora Enso's strategic ambitions.\u201c<\/p>
