From July 2024, caps and lids on plastic drinks bottles must be firmly attached to the container. Beverage closures are among the single-use plastic items that often end up as waste in the environment in Europe. The aim of the EU Single-Use Plastics Directive is to reduce this littering and facilitate the recycling of closures together with their containers. Plastic caps and lids must therefore be on drinks bottles with a volume of up to three litres<\/strong> remain connected to them. With this in mind, TriMas Packaging now offers tethered cap solutions throughout Europe.<\/p>
