TotalEnergies has joined Nextloopp, an initiative of 48 companies in the plastics value chain that aims to produce food-grade recycled polymers.<\/strong> <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Nextloopp was launched by Nextek Ltd. in October 2020 with the aim of providing high-quality produce recycled polypropylene that is suitable for food-grade applications<\/strong> and is made from used packaging material.<\/p>

The project uses a new technology to efficiently and cost-effectively sort food-grade polypropylene (PP) from waste material<\/strong> and then decontaminate the polymer to fulfil the strict standards for food quality.<\/p>

TotalEnergies is committed to the development of a circular plastics economy and wants to to satisfy the growing customer demand for high-quality recycled polymers<\/strong>. In this context, TotalEnergies is also using the new technology partnership to accelerate projects for advanced mechanical recycling and to further expand the range of its RE:use polymers containing mechanically recycled raw materials.<\/p>

\u201eThis initiative will enable us to develop further technologies for the production of food-grade recycled material and expand our options for projects that contribute to our goal of producing 30 per cent recyclable polymers by 2030\u201c<\/p>
