In a joint project between Gr\u00fcner Punkt and Pelikan, an ink eraser has been created that consists of 70 per cent recycled plastic from the Yellow Bag and Yellow Bin. The Super Pirat eco is part of the eco product line, in which the products are to consist largely of recycled material.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\"The Super Pirate eco from Pelikan shows what our Systalen recyclate can do: Even contact-sensitive products are possible with it, which are in no way inferior to new plastic in terms of functionality and product safety. And I personally think that the Super Pirat eco looks at least as good as a comparable ink eraser made from new plastic.\"<\/p>

Due to the production process, some plastic components of the ink eraser are made entirely from recycled Systalen PP from the Green dot<\/a>. This results in a total proportion of 70 per cent recycled plastic in the entire pen. The source material for the plastic is plastic waste collected in the German Yellow Bag and Yellow Bin<\/strong>yoghurt pots, for example. The waste is first sorted in special facilities and then recycled into Systalen PP by Systec Plastics GmbH in H\u00f6rstel (North Rhine-Westphalia). The Super Pirat eco is manufactured at the Pelikan plant in Peine near Hanover.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The new eco product line from Pelikan, which in addition to the Super Pirat eco also includes Fountain pen and a colour box made from recycled plastic<\/strong> is now available in stores. Pelikan is also focussing on sustainability in its sales packaging: depending on the product, this consists of FSC-certified cardboard or recycled plastic<\/strong>.<\/p>
