The tools used by the recyclates produced by material recycling, especially for construction products<\/strong>such as windows or other building profiles, pipes or traffic safety applications. Compared to 2017 the amount of PVC waste increased by almost 24 per cent to 861,000 tonnes in 2021<\/strong>. This increase is due in particular to the increasing return of durable construction products, which have been increasingly used since the 1970s and 80s. The recycling volume also increased significantly in the same period: 854,000 tonnes of PVC were recycled in 2021, almost 170,000 more than in 2017. Broken down by recycling method, the volume breaks down as follows: 42 per cent of PVC waste was recycled and 57 per cent was recovered as energy.<\/strong> recycled, a total of 99 per cent.<\/p>
