The German Packaging Award is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. Once again this year, the best submissions will be honoured in 10 cross-material categories. Companies, organisations and individuals can submit their innovations and solutions until 19 May.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The German Packaging Award<\/a> celebrates its sixtieth anniversary this year. Established in 1963 by the advisory board of the Rationalisation Association for Packaging (RGV), the award has been under the responsibility of the German Packaging Institute e. V.<\/a>, which has also driven forward its internationalisation. \u201eIn the meantime, a A good proportion of the submissions - and the winners - came from abroad<\/strong>. The German Packaging Award has developed into the most prestigious and largest showcase for packaging in Europe,\u201c says Dr Bettina Horenburg, Director Corporate Communications at the Siegwerk Group and, as dvi Board Member, the person with overall responsibility for the German Packaging Award.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In view of over 1,000 award-winning solutions in the last six decades<\/strong> Dr Horenburg is \u201eimpressed by the consistently high quality in mastering the most diverse requirements that have arisen over the course of time. It is striking how consistently and tirelessly the companies innovate with great success,\u201c says Dr Horenburg. The dvi board member is convinced that the companies from Germany and abroad will once again be able to present their products at the anniversary event. innovations \u201ethat will help us with sustainability, climate and environmental protection, hygiene, health, product protection, convenience<\/strong> to ensure the security of supply for people and the economy with an ever-improving balance sheet.\u201c<\/p>

From design to machine <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Participants can submit their products or prototypes at 10 categories to choose from, ranging from design & finishing, product presentation, efficiency and sustainability to logistics & material flow, digitalisation and packaging machines.<\/strong> are sufficient. It is also possible to submit entries in several categories at the same time. The award has a special category for young school and university students. In addition to the Packaging Award, the independent expert jury of the German Packaging Award can also present a Gold Award for particularly pioneering innovations.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The jury consists of a broadly based panel of Experts from business, research, teaching and the media<\/strong>. It examines all entries at a two-day meeting at the premises of premium partner IGEPA group according to fixed, category-specific criteria published on the website of the German Packaging Institute.<\/p>
