Household cleaning product manufacturer SC Johnson is launching the WC Duck with a \u201ebiodegradable product formula\u201c. The product combines effective cleaning with a biodegradable formula and a newly designed bottle made from 50 per cent Ocean Bound Plastics. As part of SC Johnson's global partnership with Plastic Bank, the plastic was collected on land within a 50 kilometre radius of an ocean.<\/strong><\/p>

The new cleansing gel is available in two fragrances: seashore and coastal forest. The range is rounded off with the WC-Ente freshness seal, whose visible packaging consists of 50 per cent Ocean Bound Plastics<\/strong>, to make a contribution to reducing plastic waste.<\/p>

It is estimated that more than eight million tonnes of plastic end up in the oceans every year. SC Johnson is working with Plastic Bank to reduce waste and find solutions to this global problem. By partnering with Plastic Bank, SC Johnson has helped save more than 1.5 billion plastic bottles from ending up in oceans or landfills.<\/strong> According to the company, 30 million of these collected bottles have already been recycled and used for WC duck packaging, with the aim of increasing this figure further in the coming years.<\/p>

Ocean Bound Plastics are collected in more than 470 partner collection centres in countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia and Brazil, where large quantities of plastic waste end up in the sea. This is recycled and reused in new product packaging.<\/strong><\/p>
